Available Franchise Territories
Calder Gate Repair is opening protected territories across the United States, and the markets below are still available. A protected territory means you own the gate repair business within defined boundaries. No other Calder location can market, sell, or operate inside your lines. First movers get the strongest maps. You choose your borders from day one, and we put it in writing. This is how we’ve built the brand since 2009: one owner, one territory, one reputation to protect. In the trade we work in, repair calls cluster by neighborhood. When you own the neighborhood, you own the repeat business. Gate openers age out at roughly the same rate across a city. A territory makes sure every one of those aging LiftMaster, FAAC, BFT, Linear, Viking, Ghost Controls, DoorKing, Elite, and Mighty Mule openers within your borders rings your phone, not a competitor’s.
Open Markets
These states currently have open Calder Gate Repair territory. If you know one of these markets well, that’s your edge. We don’t want outsiders pretending to be locals. We want someone who already knows which neighborhoods call for a gate repair at 7am and which ones call at 7pm.
- Texas – A gate-heavy state. Acreage properties, ranch entrances, and suburban driveway gates all age in the heat. Gates in Dallas and Houston take a beating from humidity and long summers.
- Florida – Coastal salt air eats gate hinges and boards. Storm season keeps repair demand steady year-round.
- California – Electric gate penetration is high across LA, San Diego, and the Central Valley. Older automation systems from DoorKing and Elite are everywhere.
- Georgia – Atlanta’s suburban sprawl means thousands of HOA and private driveway gates that need service.
- North Carolina – Rapid growth in the Triangle and Charlotte metro has added a wave of new automated gates, and new gates still break.
- Arizona – Extreme heat shortens the life of circuit boards, batteries, and plastic gear assemblies. Repair calls are frequent and consistent.
- Tennessee – Nashville and Knoxville have growing estate properties with gate systems that were installed a decade ago and are now failing.
- Ohio – Freeze-thaw cycles stress gate tracks, hinges, and motors. Cold-weather repair demand is steady from November through March.
- Pennsylvania – Older housing stock in Philadelphia suburbs and rural properties in the central and western parts of the state keep repair demand strong.
- Colorado – Snow, ice, and elevation changes put extra load on gate motors. Driveway gates on mountain properties run through components faster than flatland gates.
- Washington – Rain and moisture cause board corrosion and sensor failures. The Seattle-Tacoma corridor alone has thousands of automated gates in service.
- Virginia – Northern Virginia’s dense HOA communities and Richmond’s older estates both generate steady gate repair volume.
How Territories Work
A Calder territory is a defined geographic area where you are the exclusive Calder Gate Repair operator. We draw the lines before you sign, based on zip codes, drive-time boundaries, or natural borders like highways and rivers. Once your territory is set, no other Calder location can advertise, bid, or take work inside it. That’s the entire point. You aren’t competing with another Calder owner three miles away. You’re competing with unlicensed handymen and general contractors who don’t stock the right parts. Your territory is your asset. It’s the thing you build value in, year over year, as you earn repeat calls from homeowners who now know your name.
Reserving a territory starts with a call. We check the map. If your area is open, we hold it while you complete the onboarding process. We don’t use pressure tactics or countdown timers on territory. We use a simple rule: first signed agreement gets the map. If you’re serious about a market, call before someone else does. Each Calder location is independently owned and operated, and that independence is protected by the territory agreement. You run your business. We hold your borders.
